Course content:
This full day training course has been designed specifically to inform the Chief Privacy Officer (or team member with data protection responsibilities) of the key elements of the new data privacy law and to assist them in identifying potential risks, plan and allocate the required resources and provide guidance to the organisation on its path to GDPR compliance. The course includes:
- Understanding the new privacy law (GDPR) and its possible implications
- Understanding the organisation responsibilities as a Data Controller
- Dealing with Data Processors (DP’s) contracted to your organisation
- Identifying sensitive personal data
- Identifying and mitigating, risks both human and electronic
- Creating compliance records
- Reporting a breach to the ICO
Each delegate receives a copy of the data handling resource kit (GDPR) and a certificate for their own records and the organisation record of compliance.
