“GDPR essentials workshop”

For schools with limited or no access to a data protection officer (either LA or Trust).

Course content:

This hands-on workshop session has been designed for the school CPO (or team member with data protection responsibilities), to strengthen their skills and assist them in providing peer support and guidance within the school on its path to GDPR compliance, with limited or no access to a data protection officer.

The course includes:

• GDPR principles
• Identifying sensitive personal data
• Storing and handling sensitive data
•  CIA principles
• Understanding and mitigating risk
• Physical and electronic security measures
• Scenario and action session
• Personal data mapping exercise based on your school

Each delegate receives a copy of the data handling resource kit (GDPR) and a certificate for their own CPD records and the school record of compliance.
